Application Versatility

The CB-334E, CB-334E XW asphalt compactor and the CB-335E combi asphalt compactor are designed to work in a number of different compaction applications. They can be used as the only compactor on small to intermediate sized jobs or on larger jobs in con- junction with high-production models. The CB-334E, CB-334E XW and CB-335E are true 4 ton rollers. They are not stretched versions of 2.5 ton machines like most competitive units.

 
Engine

Cat 3024C diesel engine delivers 37.3 kW (50 hp) and is built for performance and reliability with excellent fuel economy. Water Spray System The large capacity 300 liter water tank provides increased working time and contains a single point to fill. The system also contains a triple water filtration system that reduces downtime due to clogs.

 

Vibratory System

Pod-style eccentric weights ensure peak compaction performance and minimal service. High dynamic force helps achieve density in the fewest number of passes. The three position vibratory control provides control of the front, rear or both drums for excellent versatility for the contractor.

 
Water Spray System

The large capacity 300 liter water tank provides increased working time and contains a single point to fill. The system also contains a triple water filtration system that reduces downtime due to clogs.

 
Visibility

The one-piece hood design and vertical folded drum supports provide excellent operator visibility to important areas of the machine including drum edges, drum surfaces, and overall visibility around the machine. Angled supports provide high clearance and visibility for work against barriers and walls.

 
Operator Station

The new CB-334E, CB-334E XW asphalt compactor and the CB-335E combi asphalt compactor feature excellent operator comfort and visibility. An adjustable steering column, and conveniently located and grouped control switches and gauges enhance operator productivity and reduce fatigue. Heavy-duty isolation mounts provide a smooth ride.

Instrumentation

The newly designed instrument panel integrates a cluster of light indicators along with a fuel level indicator and a service hour meter to provide simplified operation. A new engine start switch incorporates a preheat switch to assist in cool weather starting.

 

Serviceability

The one-piece fiberglass hood opens upward to allow access to the engine and daily maintenance points. The daily check points are accessible from ground level. Ground level service is also provided on the water spray system with pumps, filters, and drain valves grouped together and centrally located. The engine oil change interval has been increased to 500 hours from 250 hours. Vibratory bearing lube service interval of 3 year/3000 hour keeps maintenance to a minimum and maximizes production.
